Descent Name *

If a recorded climb, then please use that name. Otherwise, please give a descriptive name of the gully/corrie/feature descended.
Location

If not in the list, then add it here:
Description of descent

Summary of specific information relating to the descent.  For example, this could include:
  • Details regarding locating the start of the descent.
  • Any cornice difficulties/best access point.
  • Any specific features or hazards on the descent (e.g. ice pitches that do not normally bank out).
Grid Ref
  e.g. NO245858
Aspects

Give the general aspect of the line. If it alters significantly on the descent, then please indicate e.g. "North, then East"
Approximate Start Height
 metres a.s.l.
Approximate Minimum Descent
 metres
This can be difficult to specify, but I generally take the height that you would stop at during late season. For example, if a gully line, then the vertical height of the gully, plus any normal run out on the scarp slope below.
Climbing Grade

I've stuck with using the climbing grades for the lines, if applicable. This should give a general indication of the steepness of the line, but does not take into account hazards that a skier might face, that are less of an issue in relation to an ascent.  An example of this could be a snow gully that you have to traverse out of to avoid going over a cliff, such as Central Buttress Gully on Braeriach or Tower Gully on Ben Nevis
